Take in all of the information you can. Understand all of the nuances at play. Understand all of the tiny details. Understand all of the variables of the tiny details. Look for signals that would be overlooked by others. Practice with rehearsal, flash cards, memorization, routine. Write things down. Study those who know (or seem to know) what they’re doing.
Then, forget about all of it. Forget about all of the nuances, variables and tiny details.
No more checking off the boxes of what’s being executed properly. No more troubleshooting in real-time. No more looking back. No more pausing. No more rehearsing, memorizing, or going over notes. The review exists in the future. The performance exists in the present.
