Are you prepared for that?
When the 14-year project fails, are you going to frame it as a gigantic waste of your time?
Or are you going to frame it as 14 years of experience? Experience that you can share with other people in the form of an e-book or a blog post or a podcast?
I hope you choose the latter.
I can’t think of a better culture to work in than a culture that allows us to serve and teach other people however we want to, whether or not we succeed or fail even after decades of work.
Luckily for us, that’s the culture we live in.
An alternative is to live in a culture where someone (or something) chooses what work you should do, and how good you’re allowed to be.
