The Double-Edged Sword

If you want to become a better person, be prepared to hold the double-edged sword.

One edge of the sword is slicing into your psyche a more exact picture of how a better you would behave, act, think, and speak.

The other edge of the sword is slicing into your body, bleeding from you the parts of your character that aren’t helping you become a better person.

If you want to become a better person, be prepared to hold the double-edged sword for as long as you live.

You will never stop bleeding.

But you will never bleed out.
