Focus can’t be hacked. We decide what we want to focus on.

There’s no trick to making good art.

And relationships aren’t supposed to be optimized. They’re supposed to be nourished.

We’ve become so good at looking for the hacks, tricks, and optimizations that we’ve begun to think that every part of our lives can be fine-tuned to the nth degree. Yes, we can strive for better, but we can’t live in the moment if we’re always looking for a trick up our sleeves to make the next moment 44% better than the last.
