“You,” as Richard P. Feynman said, “are the easiest person to fool.”
Most things are going to fool you into thinking that these circumstances are worse than they are. The newspapers, the weather, even your moods. Yes, things aren’t great right now. We’re facing a global pandemic. We’re stuck inside. We can’t go to our favorite places with our favorite people.
But none of that matters – if you can fool yourself into thinking that you can do something productive while you’re stuck in these circumstances.
Of course, you don’t want to be delusional. The virus is real. This is really happening. People are suffering, and you’re not as invincible as you’d like to think.
But if you’re lucky enough to be reading these words, then you’re lucky enough to be able to make some positive, productive changes from the comfort of your home.
And because you’re so easy to be fooled, it won’t take much effort to fool yourself forward.
