Talent vs Hard Work (it’s not a matter of both)

People who rely too much on talent believe that talent is a perfect substitute for hard work.

The talented get far without working hard, but eventually, they plateau.

Then what? Will the talented just be more talented? Ha. As if.

Talent is fixed. You can be only so gifted.

The hard working believe that there is no substitute for showing up to do the work that only they can do.

A much better gift than a pair of magic genes is the reward of self-respect that comes by being disciplined. It’s a reward that the talented are never gifted.
