I haven’t read any books on habit change, but I know that the popular literature suggests identifying with your habits – by being the kind of person who (habit).
Using a sample size of one (me), and having read zero books on the subject, I’ve come to the conclusion that it works.
Do you want to have a lot of muscles? Just be the kind of person who lifts heavy stuff.
Do you want to be a writer? Just be the kind of person who writes in a journal, or on social media, or to their grandmother…
I don’t think I need to go any further. The literature is out there.
