Inspiration, Intention

Inspiration will not wait until you’ve had the perfect cup of organic dark roast from Mexico.

Nor will it wait for Pandora to find you the perfect song, or for Amazon to find you the perfect journal to capture your perfect ideas.

But it might be true that inspiration waits for intention.

That having a strong intent to create something turns out to be quite inspiring – if you stick to creating on a regular basis. Overtime, you inspire yourself. Not with how great your work is, but by the fact that you kept showing up.

No fancy chair. No fancy coffee. Just a deep portfolio of work – evidence that you pushed all the distractions aside, and sat down to create something that only you could have created.

The Big Idea That Changes Everything is also the idea that comes once every hundred years. But the idea to sit down and do the work is the idea that comes today.
