“I have no idea what I’m doing”

which means you’re in good company.

I had no idea what I was doing when I first started, too. (I still don’t.)

“No idea” means that you’re stumbling forward. It’s part of the process. Actually, it probably is the whole process.

And “I’m doing” means exactly that – you’re at least doing something.
