I could have named this episode ‘The Nuance of No.’ Because there’s nuance involved when you have to choose between yes or no.

You need to read the situation, know the risks involved, know what you’re missing out on or sacrificing. It takes self-awareness to know what’s important. It takes courage to stand up for what’s important. And the two most important things that you have are your health and your time.

Stress comes at a price. Here’s my riff on the cost of cortisol.

“If it isn’t a hell yeah, it’s a no.” And here’s Essentialism by Greg McKeown. In the episode, I said that this book was one of my favorite books on productivity. That was a mistake. What I meant to say was there is no better book on productivity. It’s a book that’s going to change the way you think about work/life balance.
