Anytime I create anything, I ask myself two questions:

“How good can I possibly make this thing considering my current abilities?”
“How good can I possibly make this thing considering my tech stack?”

To combat perfectionism, I accept the limitations of my abilities and tools.

I work with what I’ve got.

That’s all we ever can do, work with what we’ve got. We can’t write with Shakespeare’s prose. We aren’t Shakespeare. We’re us. We write with our prose, with our perspective, language, voice, tone, humor. We work with what we’ve got. Perfectionism kicks in when we reject ourselves like the child who won’t eat the choo-choo train of peas.

Can I make this post any better? I don’t think so. This is the best I can do today.
